Jose Mourinho is planning to convince Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic to join Manchester United, according to reports from Don Balon.
Ivan Rakitic joined Barcelona from Sevilla back in the summer of 2014 and the Croatian international has proven to be crucial in helping the Catalans enjoy dominance of Spanish football since his arrival.
It is clear to see that Rakitic is a player who makes Barcelona tick and the 28-year-old is arguably one of the best in the world at dictating the play from the middle of the park.
Due to his qualities, a host of top clubs would understandably love to have Rakitic in their respective teams and Premier League giants Manchester United have been widely linked with a move for the midfielder in the past.
Now according to reports from the Spanish outlet Don Balon, it has been revealed that United boss Jose Mourinho is a keen admirer of Rakitic and the Portuguese boss is now planning to convince the ex-Schalke midfielder to join his side.
Mourinho has viewed Rakitic as the ideal midfield partner who can help Paul Pogba flourish and is allegedly planning to make a swoop for the £35 million-rated Croat next summer.
