Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are involved in a head to head battle to secure the services of playmaker Ante Coric, according to reports from Squawka.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed strong starts to their respective Premier League campaigns and it does look like the two teams will be challenging for the title this season.
However, the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have been seen as the favourites by many and despite their fine performances, Liverpool and Tottenham are still being considered as outsiders to claim the Premier League crown.
Nonetheless, both the Reds and Spurs will be looking to prove their doubters wrong and in order to boost their respective title chances, it is expected that the duo will be very active during the upcoming January transfer window.
Coric wanted by Liverpool and Spurs
Now according to reports from Squawka, claims have been made that Liverpool and Tottenham are currently locked in a head-to-head battle to secure the services of Croatian wonderkid Ante Coric.
Coric is a talented young attacking midfielder who has been creating waves in Croatia with his fine performances for Dinamo Zagreb and it has been no surprise to see a host of top clubs interested in securing his services in recent times.
The youngster was strongly linked with a move to Manchester City over the summer but the transfer did not come into fruition as the Citizens were planning to send him out on loan soon after the completion of the prospective deal.
With the January transfer window fast approaching, Coric has once again been linked with a move to England and this time, it has been claimed that Liverpool and Tottenham are preparing a move for the Croatian international who could be available for around £15 million.
