Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing Rennes winger Paul-Georges Ntep, according to the Sun.
The report claims the French club is keen to sell the 24-year-old pacey winger due to the player’s refusal to sign a contract extension.
Ntep’s contract is due to expire next summer and his complicated contract situation is believed to have drawn the attention of Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton and Lyon.
The former Auxerre attacker, who can play on either wing, joined his current club two years ago and has since established himself as one of the most dangerous offensive players in the French league.
Ntep has provided 1 assist in 8 appearances in all competitions for Rennes so far this season.
It seems like the winger has decided not to extend his stay with the club and it could force Rennes to sell him during the January transfer window.
He’d be a useful signing for both Liverpool and Arsenal as Klopp and Wenger both like pacey, energetic wingers.
However, it appears as though the two Premier League giants would face stiff competition for the player’s signature as he’d probably be available for a cut-price fee in January.
