Report: Chelsea in talks with European giants over potentially huge transfer

According to reports from the Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Chelsea have already opened talks with AC Milan over the possible transfer of Cesc Fabregas.

Cesc Fabregas was one of the undoubted stars for Chelsea during their wonderful title winning campaign two seasons ago but fast forward to today, he is even struggling to get a game for the Blues.

Having grossly underperformed last season, Fabregas has been out of favour under new boss Antonio Conte during the current campaign and it looks like the ex-Arsenal star does not feature in the long-term plans of the Italian boss.

Therefore, it is widely expected that the Spaniard will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the foreseeable future and a transfer away during the upcoming January window looks the most likely outcome.

There has been a lot of interest in Fabregas from a host of clubs in Italy and giants AC Milan have been widely reported as the party which is the keenest on securing the services of the 29-year-old.

Now according to reports from Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Milan have ramped up their pursuit for Fabregas as club director of sport Massimiliano Mirabelli as well as CEO Marco Fassone visited Stamford Bridge over the weekend to watch Chelsea’s clash against Leicester City.

During the visit, the two men discussed the possibility of signing Fabregas during the January transfer window and the midfielder making a move to the San Siro this winter looks well within the realms of possibility.
