Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is attracting the attention of Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia, according to Spanish website Fichajes.
The report claims Cazorla is Atletico Madrid’s transfer priority for next summer, but Sevilla and Valencia have also expressed their desire to sign the former Malaga midfielder.
The 31-year-old, who’s been at Arsenal since 2012, has been heavily linked with a return to Spanish football in the past few months, mostly due to his contract situation at the Emirates Stadium.
His current contract is due to expire next summer and will be free to talk to overseas clubs from January 1st onwards.
The midfielder has made 9 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal so far this season, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists.
Losing Cazorla would be a big blow for Arsenal as he’s still one of their best players and is very important for their midfield.
Given he’s yet to sign a new contract, though, Arsene Wenger faces the prospect of losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Signing Cazorla on a free transfer would be a major coup for most European clubs and it seems like this will be his last season in English football.
