Alleged Manchester United target reportedly set for new Real Madrid deal

Gareth Bale

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has agreed to sign a new deal with Real Madrid until 2022 with a release clause of €500m, according to Spanish radio Cadena Ser.

The report claims Bale’s new contract will be announced soon, along with the contract renewals of Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Pepe.

Bale, who’s been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the past few months, has been a huge success at Real Madrid since his move from Tottenham in 2013.

The Welsh star quickly established himself in Real Madrid’s starting eleven and didn’t have any problems adjusting to the specifics of Spanish football.

Manchester United were reportedly keen to sign the attacker back in 2013 when David Moyes was at the helm, but Bale chose to move to the Spanish capital and it seems like he’s not going anywhere.

United could easily afford to sign Bale if Real Madrid ever decide to sell him, but it appears as though that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Real Madrid cannot really afford to sell important players before January 2018 due to their FIFA-imposed transfer ban, so the chances of Bale leaving Santiago Bernabeu next year are slim to none.
