The agent of Valencia teenager Fran Villalba, Vicente Forés, has confirmed Manchester United have already made contact with him regarding his client’s services.
Speaking to Sport Witness, Forés admitted United were keen to find out more about Villalba’s situation at Valencia, but the Spanish club is likely to make things difficult for the English giants.
However, Forésalso suggested United have only made contact with him at this moment in time and are yet to speak to Valencia.
“With me. Just a contact to know his situation. They are already aware,” Forés said.
“I don’t know about Valencia. But I reckon they will make it hard.
“We’ve just started talking. It’s up to United.”
18-year-old Villalba, who’s yet to feature for Valencia’s first team this season, reportedly has a €4m release clause in his contract.
Even though his contract with Valencia runs until the summer of 2021, it seems like United could get him for a relatively small fee if they decide to active his reported release clause.
The talented midfielder is widely regarded as one of the most promising Spanish players right now and could soon find himself at Old Trafford.
Barcelona have also been linked with a move for Villalba, but it appears as though United have acted quicker than the Spanish champions.
