Real Madrid lose another important player for over a month

According to AS, a Spanish sports newspaper, Sergio Ramos will be away from the football fields for six weeks. He joins Casemiro and Modrić in the long-term injury list

The club captain was called up for the two games with the Spanish national team. Over the weekend in the win against Albania, he had to leave the pitch early.

This put coach Zinedine Zidane on high alert, and it seems like the worst case scenario became a reality. Real released an official announcement confirming the details of the injury.

While the club never reveals the recovery time, AS consulted with doctors and estimated the six-week downtime. Even though it’s not a critical injury, his absence comes at an unfortunate time.

The team hasn’t been doing well, with four consecutive draws. On top of that, the defenders overall have struggled to handle rival attacks, conceding 12 goals in ten official games this season.

He will miss matches against Betis, Athletic, Alavés, Leganés and the back-to-back Legia Warsaw Champions League games. Depending on his development, he could miss the crucial clash versus Atlético Madrid on November 20th.

Zizou will have to resort to Varane, Pepe and Nacho. In addition, a Real Madrid Castilla youngster will most likely be promoted momentarily to be the fourth center back.
