Arsenal are following the progress of young Porto striker Andre Silva, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.
The report suggests Arsene Wenger has instructed his scouts to follow Silva’s development closely, which could result in a firm bid in the near future.
The 20-year-old, who joined Porto from Padroense 5 years ago, is widely regarded as Portugal’s best striking prospect since Pedro Pauleta.
Silva has been in impressive form this season, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists in 11 appearances for Porto so far.
His fantastic performances have rightfully cemented his position in Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting eleven.
Even though Arsenal signed Lucas Perez less than two months ago and still have Giroud in their squad, Wenger could decide to make a move for Andre Silva as the youngster seems destined for the top.
It seems like Arsenal are going to make a move for Silva soon, but they should be prepared to face serious competition for his signature, especially if the striker continues his fine goalscoring form for the Portuguese giants.
