According to the Sun (via several reports), Inter Milan have made a transfer offer for Alexis Sanchez worth £69 million.
The bid comes after Sanchez refused to sign a contract extension with the Gunners, although he does still have two years left on his current deal.
Sanchez would reportedly be expecting annual wages of around £7 million if he left Arsenal, and Inter are reportedly willing to make him the highest paid player in Serie A if they can get him.
However, despite the bid, Arsene Wenger is confident that Sanchez can still be signed long term, and he does not appear to have any plans to sell his star player. With two years still remaining on his contract, there is still plenty of time for Sanchez and Arsenal to work out a new deal.
It seems unlikely that Arsenal will sell Sanchez during the summer transfer window, but if Inter Milan is willing to increase their bid, Arsenal would have to at least consider accepting the offer.
