Juventus are interested in Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, according to Turin newspaper Tuttosport.
The report suggests Juventus are keen to bring the Spaniard to Turin this month, but they’re also interested in Real Madrid duo Isco and Mateo Kovacic.
26-year-old Herrera, who joined United from Athletic Bilbao two years ago, struggled to establish himself as a key player in Louis Van Gaal’s plans and was in and out of the starting eleven last season.
Herrera is obviously part of Mourinho’s plans, but he’s unlikely to be a regular starter as the Portuguese manager wants to play a holding midfielder next to Paul Pogba.
However, the Spaniard is still a very good player with a great attitude, so his place in the first team seems secure.
Mourinho likes to have energetic midfielders that can drive forward with the ball in his team, so he’s unlikely to offload Herrera this summer.
Even if Herrera is not a key player in Mourinho’s plans, he’d still get plenty of chances to impress given United’s participation in the Europa League and the domestic cups.
