Arsenal is reportedly interested in Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to the Daily Star (via La Gazzetta della Sport). Inter is reportedly trying to sell Brozovic to help fund a possible transfer of Axel Witsel.
Liverpool is also reportedly interested Brozovic who is expected to be sold for a transfer fee of about £21 million.
Brozovic is a 23 year old box-to-box midfielder who is able to defend fairly well, but also has the ability to get forward to create chances. In 32 league games last season Brozovic scored 4 goals and had 5 assists.
Arsene Wenger continues to flirt with the idea of adding an additional center midfielder despite already having a good group of midfielders to work with.
Brozovic would likely be a good player for Arsenal, but midfield is not currently their biggest position of need.
Brozovic does appear to be on his way out at Inter, but a move to the Gunners does not seem particularly likely due to Arsenal’s current depth at the position.
