Manchester United are keen on Legia Warsaw midfielder Ondrej Duda, according to German news outlet Bild.
The report suggests Hertha Berlin are the favourites for Duda’s signature, but they’ll have to act quickly as Manchester United, West Ham and Arsenal are also interested in acquiring his services this summer.
Legia Warsaw are believed to have set an asking price of €3.5m for the former Košicemidfielder.
The 21-year-old, who moved to the Polish champions two years ago, played in all three of Slovakia’s Euro 2016 group stage games, but didn’t feature in his country’s 3-0 defeat to Germany in the 1/8 finals.
Duda’s preferred position is in midfield, but he can also play behind the striker.
Duda would be a low-risk, high-reward signing for the Red Devils as they could secure the signature of a very promising midfielder for a very low price.
The player’s ability to play behind the striker would be very useful for Jose Mourinho as United need more creativity through the middle.
However, a move to Hertha Berlin would probably be the best career choice for Duda as he’d be able to play regular first-team football and continue his development.
