According to reports from Daily Post, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has identified Paul Pogba as his number 1 target in this summer transfer window.
The French midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks. If reports are believed to be true, Mourinho has confided with his staff the desire to bring Pogba to Manchester United.
Although they have already secured the services of Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United are eager to further fortify their midfield ahead of next season.
LvG brought Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin to Old Trafford last season, but the duo has failed to convince the Manchester United faithful of their talent.
With Schweinsteiger on the wrong side of 30’s, and a lack of attacking flare in the game-play of Schneiderlin, neither has been a popular addition.
As a result, in order to add goals to his squad, Mourinho seems eager to add the 23-year-old Pogba to his first team plans for next season. However, despite the aura which surrounds Jose Mourinho – a major factor in the Pogba chase, the Red Devils will have to pay an all-time record fee to acquire the services of Paul Pogba.
