According to the man who represents Paulo Dybala, the Juventus striker rejected a €80m approach from Barcelona earlier this summer, as per ESPN FC.
Dybala moved to Juventus at the start of last season from Italian side Palermo for €40m. In his first season at the club, Dybala scored 23 goals in all competitions for the Serie A giants.
Although he enjoyed a slow start to his Juventus career – with just 4 goals in the opening 12 games, Dybala was instrumental in the business end of last season.
He scored 11 goals in the last 18 matches for Juventus, to lead them to their 4th successive Serie A title.
Thus, looking at his performances for the Italian side, Barcelona tried to lure the 22-year-old to the Camp Nou earlier this summer.
However, as suggested by Gustavo Mascardi, whose agency represents the Argentine striker, Dybala rejected the approach from Barcelona in order to extend his career at Juventus.
“It’s true that in recent months Barcelona enquired about him, with an offer which was double what the Bianconeri paid for him, but the player, first of all felt it is more important to consolidate his experience at the club who are giving him the opportunity to prove himself at the highest level.”
However, while he has rejected the approach from Barcelona for now, the Argentine striker has all the capabilities to represent the Catalan Giants in the upcoming years.
