According to reports coming from the British Media outlet Metro, Manchester United are in pole position to sign French midfielder Paul Pogba after Euro 2016.

Despite producing a series of underwhelming performances at Euro 2016, Pogba could still cost Manchester United an astronomical sum.

In his 4 appearances at the Euros, Pogba is still unable to score a goal or provide an assist to his teammates.

The 23-year-old scored 8 goals and provided 8 assists to his Juventus teammates in Serie A last season. As a result of his performances, Pogba led Juventus to yet another League title last season.

Despite spending his youth career at Manchester United, Pogba was unable to convince the former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, to get a chance in the starting XI. Consequently, the Frenchman left for Juventus in the summer of 2012.

Ever since moving to Turin, Pogba has enjoyed huge success with the Old Lady. In the 4 seasons that he has played for Juventus, the Italian side has won 4 successive league titles.

He has played a key part in all, with 124 League appearances in the past 4 seasons.

Therefore, despite the astronomical price tag at which Juventus will reportedly sell Pogba, his arrival would give Manchester United a huge boost in their bid for Premier League title in the 2016/17 season.
