Manchester United have made an offer to sign 12-year-old prospect Mujo Omerovic, according to the player’s mother.

The Bosnian youngster, who reportedly scored 27 goals in 25 games for a local Florida team last season, appears to be attracting interest from Manchester United.

His mother, Samka Kurdija, has claimed the 20-time English champions had offered her son a three-year deal to join their academy this summer.

“After the first e-mail from Manchester United, they called and they offered him a three-year contract,” Kurdija told the Daily Star.

“When I asked how they found out about Mujo, they said that they regularly follow the children’s leagues and tournaments. We are still negotiating.”

United are reportedly looking to sign the world’s best teenagers this summer in order to significantly strengthen their youth teams and it seems like Omerovic is one of the English club’s targets this summer.

The English giants are believed to be determined to make their scouting network much more effective and it looks like their new strategy is already paying dividends as they’ve noticed Omerovic’s talent in the United States.

It’d surely be a dream move for Omerovic and he’d be able to focus on establishing himself in United’s youth teams in the years to come.
