Manchester United reportedly interested in teenage midfielder

Old Trafford

Manchester United are keen to sign Valencia wonderkid Ferhat Cogalan, according to the player’s agent.

Habib Antar, who also represents West Ham’s Sofiane Feghouli, has claimed United had made an offer to take Cogalan to Old Trafford this summer.

“We’re in no hurry because Ferhat is in contract with Valencia until 2021,” Antar told French website La Voix Du Nord. “But when a club like Manchester United invites us, it is logical that we study the proposal, right?”

It appears as though United could be about to strengthen their youth team with the signing of Cogalan, but according to Valencia-based newspaper Super Deporte, the English giants aren’t the only interested club.

The report claims United are leading the race for Cogalan’s signature as he’s already met with United officials to discuss a move to England.

However, it appears as though United aren’t the only interested club as Arsenal, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be interested.

The Turkish Under-14 international, who can play in midfield and behind the striker, scored 20 goals and provided over 30 assists for Valencia’s youth team last season.

Manchester United are always looking to sign the world’s biggest talents and it seems like Cogalan fits the bill.

The move would make sense as United are reportedly looking to strengthen their youth team this summer.
