As International Business Times reports (via Estadio Deportivo), Liverpool’s midfielder Joe Allen could soon leave Anfield, and his next destination could be Spanish Sevilla.
The 26-year-old Welsh player has been a member of Liverpool for 4 years, and he came from Swansea in a £15m deal. Since then, Allen has appeared 129 times for the Reds, and he managed to score 7 goals. However, chances are he isn’t going to play very much under Jurgen Klopp’s guidance, because he simply doesn’t look like a type of player to fit Klopp’s style.
On the other hand, Sevilla could use a box-to-box type of player, and Joe Allen is considered to be one of their main transfer targets.
It’s very likely that this transfer is going to go through, especially after Sevilla’s midfielder Ever Banega has been heavily linked with Inter Milan for the past few weeks. However, Sevilla aren’t the only side interested. There are some rumours about Swansea and Celtic being interested in signing Allen, and it is understood that Liverpool would be open to offers at around £10m.
