Manchester United chasing 19-year-old sensation

Manchester United have contacted Adam Ounas’ representatives about a summer move to Old Trafford, according to RMC journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi.

However, the 20-time English champions are likely to face competition for the 19-year-old’s signature as Napoli, RB Leipzig, Stoke City, Southampton and another unnamed English club are also believed to be interested.

Adam Ounas, who scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 24 league appearances for Bordeaux last season, is one of the brightest prospects in French football and it seems like a matter of time before he joins a bigger club.

Despite being quite raw and inexperienced, Ounas would get plenty of chances to showcase his talent at Manchester United as the Red Devils will be taking part in next season’s Europa League and Mourinho will have to improve the squad depth.

Ounas’ ability to play in more than one position would help him fit into Mourinho’s system as the Portuguese manager has stressed the importance of versatile players on more than one occasion in the past.

Signing Ounas would be a “low-risk, high-reward” move for United. The club could have the opportunity to sign a talented youngster and develop him into a special player in the next few years.

After all, that’s what United have been doing ever since Sir Alex Ferguson took charge of the club 30 years ago.
