Hector Bellerin is reportedly being pursued by Barcelona as a potential replacement for Dani Alves, according to The Independent. Alves’ contract runs out next summer, but a clause in his contract enables him to leave the club as a free transfer. To fill the right back position, Barcelona have their eyes set on Bellerin, who is a product of Barcelona’s academy.
The Spaniard has been highly influential in his time at the Emirates Stadium. His performances have caught the eyes of many clubs. Bellerin has become Wenger’s first choice RB ahead of Debuchy, Jenkinson and Chambers. 21-year-old Hector Bellerin has risen to fame as one of the most attack-minded right-backs in the Premier League.
He is renowned for his speed, which he showcased by breaking Theo Walcott’s 40-meter sprint record at Arsenal by 1/100th of a second. Despite being a youngster, Bellerin is a good reader of the game as well.
However, there are equal chances as to whether or not the transfer will happen. He has become an important part of Wenger’s side and there is no way Arsenal will let go of him. But on the other hand, Barcelona’s full-backs form a key part of their attacks, they will be keen to have an attack-minded player like Bellerin in their squad to bolster their attack.
