After months of wait, thousands of news articles and millions of prayers from the Manchester United faithful, Manchester United announced Jose Mourinho as their new manager on Friday.
In addition to having a positive impact on the New York Stock Exchange’ shares of the club, this news has sent ripples through their rival clubs that Manchester United mean business yet again.
Before him, after the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson after what seemed like an eternity, the Red Devils’ higher ups went both ways in their search of a palatable successor to the Scot.
First, they went for the relatively low lying David Moyes, the result was a huge disaster. Afterward, they went for the highly experienced Louis Van Gaal and the result was the same – bar 250 Million Pounds and a FA Cup trophy.
However, as they say that better late than never, this decision is expected to pay dividends for the Red Devils in years to come.
