The chances that Manchester United will lose Belgian international and current midfielder Marouane Fellaini has increased significantly following statements from his agent Luciano D’Onofrio that he’s open to a move to the Italian side, according to British news outlet the Daily Star.
The 6 ft 4 in, Fellaini moved to Old Trafford from Everton in 2013 on a five year contract worth approximately £27.5m and has contributed 4 goals in his 32 appearances thus far.
D’onofrio spoke to the media recently, suggesting the midfielder is keen on a move to the Serie A after never quite fitting in at United, though he insisted that no firm offers have come his way just yet.
According to the Daily Star, “The big Belgian was spotted in the crowd at Roma yesterday as they beat Napoli 1-0 courtesy of a late Radja Nainggolan goal”, though his agent speculated that he was there solely on holiday.
Faced with a choice between playing internationally for either Belgium or Morrocco, Fellaini chose the former, and appeared for his country in the 2014 World Cup, scoring an equalizer against Algeria and playing in all of their matches in a run to quarter-finals where they lost to Argentina.
