In one of the most anticipated Liga MX games on the weekend, Pachuca receives Chivas of Guadalajara this Saturday, April 22, 2016 (6:06 PM Pacific) at the Estadio Hidalgo. Both sides are in great form, and both have strong possibility to take part in the Clausura 2016 playoffs.
Pachuca has performed very well so far 14 weeks into the season led by young Mexican players like Erick Gutierrez and Hirving Lozano. The team coached by Diego Alonso currently sits in 3rd place with 25 points after 7 wins, 4 ties, and 3 losses. The ‘tuzos’ are in a good position to reach the playoffs, but considering they have been top-4 for most of the season, they need to defeat Chivas to remain within those seeds.
Chivas of Guadalajara is once again the team-of-the-moment as Mexico’s most popular team due to the current excellent form. The team coached by Matias Almeyda has won its past 4 games and now sits in 7th place with 21 points; 5 wins, 6 ties, and 3 losses. The ‘rebaño sagrado’ has played wonderfully as of late and if they continue in that form they will most likely finish among the top-8 and qualify into the playoffs. Saturday’s test will be a good test to their ability as they visit one of the current best teams in Mexico.
