The Swedish Striker has been at France’s capitol since 2012 and is out of contract this summer. The 34-year old is looking for a new challenge and coming to play in England makes sense. The Premier League is the only major football league the striker hasn’t played in.
Even at 34-years of age, Ibrahimovic has a lot to offer clubs. His combination of size, and skill still makes him one of the best strikers in the world and one of the most exciting to watch.
Manchester United need to sign another striker this season, as Wayne Rooney’s future at the club is up in the air, and youngster Marcus Rashford can’t tackle the burden of being United’s only striker. Anthony Martial can play up top but has been deployed and found success on the left wing due to Memphis Depay’s disappointing campaign. The club has also been linked to Everton’s striker Romelu Lukaku. West Ham United are also interested in Ibrahimovic as well.
Right now LvG’s future with Manchester United is up in the air as fans have been calling for the manager’s head all season. Right now United are in 5th place and are four points out of fourth after a disappointing loss to Tottenham 3-0. One can only imagine it’s only a matter of time before LvG exits Old Trafford.
The news of Zlatan saying he’ll only come to Manchester United if LvG is sacked just gives fans another reason to hope the Dutchman isn’t in charge next season.
