Currently twelfth in the table and a point behind West Brom, Everton and billionaire backer Farhad Moshiri are not going to let star striker Romelu Lukaku go without a major fight, according to sports website Goal.com.
Should the Belgian international, who has scored 25 goals in a total of 36 appearances so far this season, leave the Toffees, the cost to any future club would be over £50m. According to the source, “the 22-year-old has dropped a huge hint that he is looking to leave Goodison Park at the end of the campaign after admitting he wants to play Champions League football.”
Manchester United is not alone in their quest for the prolific striker however, Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Juventus have also made their interest clear.
Lukaku has been in such excellent form this season that he could easily be involved in a deal worth a lot more than his purported £50m valuation. Be sure to follow this transfer story as the big European clubs will surely open their wallets for such a talented in-form striker who has already expressed interested in playing elsewhere.
