Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of the 40-Million Rated PSG Winger Lucas Moura after the Brazilian has claimed that he is happy at the Ligue 1 Club, as per the French Media.
Liverpool are long-term admirers of the 23-year-old Brazilian after his multi-million move to the French League in 2013. Lucas snubbed the likes of Manchester United to sign for the French Powerhouses for an astronomical price tag of 44-Million Pounds.
Thus, while his weekly wages make for a mouthwatering reading, the Reds seemed content to join the Brazilian with his National team-mates Coutinho and Firmino in Liverpool next Season.
Liverpool’s chase of the Brazilian received a massive boost at the start of this Season when Manchester United decided to sell Angel Di Maria to the French outfit.
With Di Maria in brilliant form ever since his arrival in Paris, many around Liverpool believed that lack of playing time would tempt Lucas to consider his future at the French club.
However, that was before Lucas lifted the lid with his comments about his future at PSG. Speaking to the French media here is what the Brazilian had to offer regarding his future …
“My dream is to continue my career here, win a lot of titles and then return to Sao Paulo.
“That’s my goal.”
Thus, with the player himself stating that he wants to continue at PSG, Liverpool’s pursuit of the 23-year-old Winger is all but over.
