Manchester United eyeing audacious move for Chelsea Star

Costa

According to an audacious claim by Spanish media outlet Fichajes, Manchester United are hoping to sign £31-Million Rated Spanish striker Diego Costa from Chelsea in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Although the Red devils have struggled in front of goal this Season, a move for Diego Costa seems highly unlikely for them. Costa has been at Stamford Bridge since 2013 and led Chelsea to the Premier League title in his maiden Season at the club.

Atletico Madrid are also considering the opportunity to sign their former star. However, with Manchester United entering the race for his signature, it would be very difficult for Diego Simeone to lure the Spaniard away from English football.

These rumors have gained momentum in the last few days after Diego Costa picked up another ban from the FA. His disciplinary record has been questionable as Costa has already received 9-yellow cards and 1-marching off order this Season.

Thus, if Manchester United did want to bring Costa at the Old Trafford, they would have to be ready for the volatile behavior which is a customary part of Costa’s game throughout his career.
