Long time Liverpool target Alex Teixeira is set for a lucrative move to China, according to reports from the Daily Mail
It was no secret that Liverpool were desperate to secure the services of Alex Teixeira during the January transfer window but the Reds were ultimately unable to sign the Brazilian international as they were not willing to match Shakhtar Donetsk’s asking price of the striker which exceeded £30million.
Despite missing out on Teixeira last month, it was widely expected that Liverpool would be reigniting their interest in the striker during the summer. However, Liverpool will not be awarded the opportunity to do so as it can be revealed that Teixeira is on the verge of making a move to China.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, it has been revealed that Shakhtar have agreed a £35million fee with Chinese side Jiangsu Suning over Teixeira and the transfer is now set to be completed within the next 24 hours.

The Chinese transfer window does not close until 26th of February and Jiangsu Suning are set to take advantage of it by making a swoop for Teixeira.
Teixeira will now be joining compatriot Ramires, who joined Chelsea in a £25million deal, last month and Liverpool will certainly have feel that they have missed out on a great chance to sign quality striker.
