Arsenal are interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and have already held talks with the Italian giants regarding a move for the player, a report from The Daily Express has suggested.
23-year-old Brozovic signed for Inter from Dinamo Zagreb during the last winter transfer window on a one-and-a-half year loan deal. As part of the agreement with Dinamo, Inter were obligated to buy him for an 8m pound fee once his loan agreement with Inter came to a conclusion in June, 2016. Current Inter head coach Roberto Mancini fielded the midfielder 13 times this season, during which he scored three goals and managed one assist.
Despite this return, Mancini does not consider the player to be a part of his plans and reports have suggested that he could be ready to let the player leave if the right offer came along.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has identified Brozovic as the perfect candidate to provide his injury ravaged team with some much needed midfield cover. The Gunners could do with another midfielder as they are already without the likes of Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Alexis Sanchez.
