Liverpool plan ambitious move for ‘Unhappy’ World Cup winner

Liverpool are exploring the possibility of securing the services of Mats Hummels, according to reports from HITC

Mats Hummels has been one of the most consistent defenders in Europe over the past few seasons and the German international has incessantly been linked with a move to some of the biggest clubs around in Europe as a result.

Despite the widespread interest, Hummels has remained loyal to Borussia Dortmund and is a key player for the German giants.

With the January transfer window coming up though, reports linking Hummels with a move away from the Signal Iduna Park has intensified once again and the Premier League has been seen as a realistic destination for the defender.

To further fuel the speculation, German publication BILD has run a story claiming that Hummels is feeling overburdened at Dortmund currently and could consider a change in scenery soon.

Now according to reports from HITC, it has been suggested that Hummels could indeed make a move to the Premier League by joining Liverpool.

Liverpool are currently managed by Jurgen Klopp and it is well known that Hummels enjoyed a very successful relationship with the 48-year old manager during their time together at the Signal Iduna Park.

Klopp is said to be keen on signing Hummels for Liverpool and given Hummels’ reported unhappiness, the defender could well consider joining the Reds in the foreseeable future.
