Premier League giants Liverpool are rumoured to be eyeing up a move for Khouma Babacar. talkSPORT has reported that Jurgen Klopp is looking at the Fiorentina striker with very keen interest.
The 22-year-old frontman is in a really rich vein of form after having scored four goals in just six Serie A appearances. Liverpool are without Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings while their new signing Christian Benteke is just returning from injury. Divock Origi is another one of their forwards but the young Belgian has not impressed despite getting chances to prove himself.
Therefore, another in-from striker is a priority for the Reds and Babacar could possibly fill that void. The Senegalese striker is young and has a lot of unfulfilled potential that Liverpool’s master tactician, Jurgen Klopp, could work on. He also has experience playing at a very high level after he represented La Viola in the Europa League.
At 6ft 3in, Babacar would be a huge target man much in the Robert Lewandowski mould. After having closely followed Borussia Dortmund’s rise to the top, we all know what Jurgen Klopp can do with a Lewandowski at the tip of his attack. Liverpool fans will be hoping that he can pull off the same results with their club and Babacar may just be a tool that he needs to use.
