Former England midfield Joe Cole has joined Coventry City on a 35-day loan deal from Aston Villa.
Cole, 33, has played for the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham, also earning 56 appearances with the English national side.
However, his only game for Aston Villa was in the Capital One Cup and has decided to join the Sky Blues until November 22.
Coventry manager Tony Mowbray has then expressed his delight in having a player of such high-caliber at the club in the club’s official website.
“Joe has a great pedigree, both on the domestic and international stage, and I’m sure he’ll have a fantastic impact during his time at the club
“He’s a player who will give us another option in the forward areas, and I’m sure the squad are looking forward to working with him.
“We’ve got plenty of games coming up which will be crucial to us maintaining our early-season form, and I’m looking forward to seeing Joe in action.” Mowbray says.
