Manchester United fan favorite Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez was released from the club late in the Summer transfer period, on August, 31, 2015 to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkeusen.
The Mexican striker has started off strongly with his new team, scoring two goals in four appearances, this Wednesday, Chicharito scored his first Bundesliga goal. Hernandez’ first overall goal with Bayer Leverkeusen had come in the Champions League last week.
Chicharito scored what would end up being the lone goal in the Bayern Leverkeusen vs Mainz match. In a rare display of technical brilliance, Chicharito dribbled the ball from near the half line, took a shot outside the box, and scored thanks to a friendly deflection.

Chicharito had a bright start with Manchester United, while the team was still under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson. Once Moyes took over, Chicharito was relegated to only playing off the bench, though the Mexican striker still produced goals.
After the arrival of LvG, Chicharito was basically erased from the squad, ended up being loaned out to Real Madrid, only to return and be shipped off to his new, German squad. Chicharito has adapted well to his new team, and he is proving that he could have been a very good striker for Manchester United this season.
