Manchester United are set to sanction the sales of Jonny Evans and Victor Valdes within the next 48 hours, according to various reports
With only a few days remaining before the end of the transfer window, things are expected to heat up at Manchester United and one can be sure that the Red Devils will look to bring in at least a few new players to their squad in order to strengthen their claim for a Premier League title this season.
Evans set for United exit
Signing a new attacking player is the priority for United but at the same time, manager Louis van Gaal is looking to offload players who do not feature in his plans and it can now be revealed that the Red Devils are on the verge of selling the duo of Jonny Evans and Victor Valdes.
Evans had fallen down the pecking order at United under Louis van Gaal and has not featured at all during the current campaign.
As a result, the defender had been widely tipped to leave Old Trafford this summer and now it can be confirmed by Sky Sports that United have agreed a fee with West Bromwich Albion for the Northern Irish international.
Valdes to join Besiktas
Another player set to complete his move away from United is goalkeeper Victor Valdes. The Spanish custodian had fallen out with van Gaal after it was revealed that he had refused to play for the Under-21 squad last season.
Valdes has since been left out on the cold and now the 33-year old is set to seal his long awaited departure from Old Trafford by joining Turkish side Besiktas within the next 48 hours, if reports from Fanatix is to be believed.
