Manchester United have been handed a huge boost after the agent of top target Roberto Firmino confirmed that the midfielder will be plying his trade in England next season
After having already secured the services of an extremely talented young player in Memphis Depay, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is keen on adding further attacking flair into his squad and recent reports have been suggesting that the Dutchman is close to signing another promising youngster in the form of Roberto Firmino.
It has been claimed that United have already agreed terms with Hoffenheim over a transfer fee for Firmino and the move is set to be completed once the 23-year old undergoes a medical at Old Trafford – which will be done following the ongoing Copa America Championship.
Firmino all but set to join United
With no official word coming out of either United or Hoffenheim, the reports have been met with a bit of skepticism but now to further fuel speculation regarding Firmino’s potential switch to Old Trafford, the midfielder’s agent has moved on to confirm that his client is set for a transfer this summer.
The agent, Roger Wittmann, has remained coy regarding Firmino’s exact destination but has confirmed that the 23-year old will be plying his trade in the Premier League during the upcoming season. Speaking to German publication BILD, Wittmann said, “All I can say is that he will move to England.”
Following Wittmann’s admission, it seems very likely that Firmino will be making a move to Manchester United this summer and the capture of the young star will prove to be another major coup for the Premier League giants.
