Top target speaks about potential Liverpool move

Kovacic

Liverpool target Mateo Kovacic has revealed that he has not agreed a deal with the Premier League giants, contrary to reports

It has been no surprise to see Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers adopting a proactive approach in the transfer market this summer and his recruitment of James Milner, Danny Ings and Adam Bogdan can be seen as some shrewd piece of business by the Northern Irishman.

To further reinforce his squad, Rodgers has been eyeing a move for midfield sensation Mateo Kovacic and reports in England have even gone on to state that Liverpool have already agreed on a fee with Inter Milan over the transfer of the 21-year old.

However, Kovacic has now moved on to refute claims that his transfer to Liverpool has been agreed and has insisted that he is willing to remain put at the San Siro for the foreseeable future.

Speaking to Tuttosport, Kovacic said, “For now I’m still happy in Italy, but we’ll see about the future. Now I’m thinking about my holidays. I only know that I’m due back at Appiano Gentile on July 5. That’s why I haven’t heard anyone from the club yet.

“There’s no need for us to talk, I recently renewed my contract. I’m not expecting any further notifications, but of course you never know with the transfer market.”
