Manchester United have completed their second transfer business of the January transfer window by selling defender Michael Keane to Burnley.
The defender had been on loan at Burnley on a six month deal from Manchester United since the start of the season and following his brilliant performances in recent times, the Clarets’ boss Sean Dyche had admitted that talks were ongoing between the two parties for his side to sign the young man on a permanent basis.
Now United and Burnley have managed to agree on a fee and it has been revealed that the Clarets have signed the defender on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Following the completion of the signing, Dyche expressed his delight at having landed Keane and stated his hope that the young man can develop into a top player at the club.
Dyche said, “Michael is a good young player and we see a lot of development in him as he’s on a good pathway at the moment and we’re delighted that he has decided to join us.”
