Three Real Madrid Players that will have a Breakthrough Season

Jesé Rodríguez

The jewel of La Fábrica already established himself last season. He wasn’t a regular starter, yet he was an important part of the team before he suffered an injury. Set to return in October, the fact that Madrid didn’t sign a striker says they trust Jesé. The youngster was the star of Real Madrid Castilla, being a key part of their promotion to the 2nd division in 2012.

After finally being promoted to the first team squad last season, the #20 amazed everyone at the Bernabéu. Not only did he save the team in Mestalla against Valencia, but he scored against important teams like Barcelona, Athletic and Villarreal. With eight goals in 31 appearances, his progression was cut short because of a horrible injury.

Come October or earlier, Jesé should start training with his teammates and regain his confidence. Carlo Ancelotti trusts him and he can be key throughout the season. His goals, speed, dribbling and versatility make the team rich. Although nobody wants anyone from the BBC to get injured, Jesé would be a welcome replacement. If not, coming from the bench, he will be able to amaze Madridistas again.
