If Barcelona sell the right-back, the club can manage the money to bring in a replacement. I realize the chance of getting a huge amount of money for a 31 year-old right-back is unlikely. But considering interest by PSG, Barcelona can obtain a decent amount that can help finance for a replacement.
Because Barcelona enjoy purchasing talented players to play out of position, Cuadrado— a Colombian right-winger that plays for Fiorentina– is an option to replace Alves. Since Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal wishes to acquire the Colombian winger, Barcelona will have to convince Fiorentina to sell the player to the Spanish. We all know money will bring Cuadrado to Catalunya. The money from Alves’ transfer would help with the finances.
