Mathieu Debuchy
Debuchy is the safest bet of all of Arsenal’s signings this summer. He is a reliable fullback with plenty of Premier League experience already under his belt, from his time with Newcastle United. While not an exciting nor flashy addition, he will help provide excellent defensive cover for the back line, and the occasional surging run down the flank. Debuchy is a lock to start at Right back and fill in for the former French defender Bacary Sagna. As long as he is healthy, anticipate to see Debuchy get the start in nearly every game this season. At 29 years old, he provides experience and veteran leadership to a young team.
