The former Nice man is coming off of a spectacular World Cup with Colombia. The Goalkeeper has improved steadily over his time in France and figures to continue to be the Colombian number 1 for years to come. With the loss of Lukas Fabianski to Swansea City, Wenger knew he had to bring in another keeper to not only back up current number 1, Wojciech Szceszny, but to challenge him for playing time.

This is why the signing of Ospina for a meager 3 million is one of the biggest steals of the window. When he first arrives, he will play second fiddle to Szceszny, but will have plenty of opportunities to prove himself. At only 26 years of age, Ospina still has plenty of years left in his career and will have plenty of opportunities within the team. With this signing, Wegner has formed a very young and talented goalkeeping duo.
