According to Daily Mail, the Chilean super star Arturo Vidal has shown positive signs about making a move to Manchester United from Juventus.
Prior to being eliminated from the World Cup by Brazil in the round of 16, Arturo Vidal showcased his superlative performances and became a target for many teams, such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea. Although, Manchester United is hoping to obtain the international starlet with a £30 million bid plus Nani, Juventus has valued Vidal at £40 million, so a deal is still a ways off.
Earlier Career
Louis Van Gaal has had his eyes set on Arturo Vidal since his days at Bayern Munich, when Vidal played for Bayern Leverkusen, but signed with the Italian club of Juventus in July of 2011. During his first season with Juventus, Vidal helped win the league’s title. Coming up with 15 goals and 12 assists and an 84 percent passing rate, he led the the charts and was the highest goalscorer for the 2012-2013 season. In addition, during the 2013-2014 season he accumulated a total of 22 goals, including his career with the Chile National Team.
Manchester United Potential Transfer
With Manchester United finishing 7th place in the English Premier League last season under the coaching staff of David Moyes, Louis Van Gaal is determined to reconstruct the base of the team. With £60 million already spent on defender, Luke Shaw and midfielder, Ander Herrera, Van Gaal doesn’t seem to want to stop signing potential spell breakers. By signing Vidal, Manchester United’s dynamics and rhythm on the field would increase. With Nani being released and Ryan Giggs retired, we are looking at a solid midfield barrier that Manchester United lacked last season, with Luke Shaw, Arturo Vidal, Ander Herrera, and Rafael da Silva as probable starters.
With Vidal in the midfield, he can make a difference for any team he decides to play for. Besides being ranked the eleventh best player in Europe by FTB Pro, Vidal is a complete midfielder. Being known as a box-to-box player, he can pull back and help the defense while still being able to push forward and attack the opposing goal at high intensity. With strong passing, control, and agility, Vidal is sure to be the player that can make the Red Devils a top five team this upcoming season.
Juventus Future
Even with the interests from other clubs, Arturo Vidal is open to moving this summer. He would much rather play for Manchester United than other teams, including Juventus, according to Tutto Sport. Vidal is an extraordinary player, who through the years grew to surprise and turn millions of heads. Juventus brought home three Serie A titles with Vidal on their team.
Although Juventus may lose Vidal, they are seeking to gain a potential duo from Manchester United of Patrice Evra and Nani. Including both players, Vidal’s bid would drop significantly and set aside financial problems for the Red Devils. Arturo Vidal’s chances of being transferred to Manchester United are at a 50 per cent to 60 per cent, because he could improve their midfield drastically and be the missing piece that Manchester United needs.
