FC Barcelona announced via Twitter this Friday that their former coach, Tito Vilanova, lost his battle with cancer and died at the age of 45. The coach was diagnosed with cancer of the throat two years ago which had forced him to leave the ‘blaugrana’ bench.
Earlier this week, Vilanova had gone into his regular medical check-up, where the doctors told him he must remained hospitalized as his condition had deteriorated. As the days passed, his condition worsened, and the Spaniard finally lost his battle.
