The Saturday derby between Chelsea and Arsenal is something most Gunner fans will try to forget as soon as possible. Their team was obliterated with six goals in the net of goalkeeper Szczesny and it is very difficult to believe that they can, once again, return to tittle race. However, one of the key moments of the game took place in 15th minute.
Hazard’s shot was blocked by the hand of Oxlade-Chamberlain on the goal line, and it was clear that the red card and penalty would eliminate any chance of Arsenal to return to match. The winger was set to leave the pitch, when referee Andre Mariner took the stage and starring role – he awarded the penalty for Chelsea, prepared the red card and sent off Gibbs! All of the Arsenal players were shocked with this decision, but none of them could convince Mariner that he made a wrong choice. Hazard scored the goal from the spot and put Chelsea into 3:0, after that it was all very easy for the Blues.
At the end of the game, the referee apologized to Arsenal for the mistake he made, but fans didn’t forget that. An interesting game showed up on internet – a picture quiz based on series of photos in which your task is to make a difference between The Ox & Gibbs. And if you can beat Mariner’s score, you may become a new referee in world’s best football league!
