The England vs Chile international friendly will take place this Friday, November 15, 2013 (12:00 PM Pacific) at the Wembley Stadium.  After confirming their place in Brazil 2014, both England and Chile will officially begin their pre-World Cup preparation in what will be an intense friendly in London.  While both teams will not be favorites in the competition, they could both very well be dark-horses, as they have the talent to reach great lengths.

The team coached by Roy Hodgson earned their pass into the World Cup last month after finishing in first place of Group H in the UEFA qualifiers with 22 points.  While they only had a 1 point differential from the second placed Ukraine, England was unbeaten and had a tremendous goal differential of +27.  This Friday, they have a good opportunity to begin their Brazil 2014 training, and player selection process as they will host one of the best teams in the world.

Chile had a much more dramatic road into Brazil 2014, as they finished third in the CONMEBOL qualifiers with 28 points; 4 behind the first placed Argentina.  The team coached by Jorge Sampaoli will use the excellent opportunity to play England at the majestic Wembley Stadium to undertand in what form they are currently at, and to learn what needs to be improved in their training towards the World Cup.  The South Americans are not favorite to win the tournament, however, considering their geographical relation to Brazil, they could be a surprise team which runs deep into the quarterfinals, and even semifinals.

England vs Chile Prediction

The England vs Chile friendly will be played intensely between two sides that do not typically face each other.  England enters the match as the favorite in terms of talent and home advantage, but in order to win they will have to play intelligently on defense because Chile has offensive players that could change the score on a counter-attack.  The South American side will look to surprise the fans at Wembley, but to do such thing they will need Alexis Sanchez and the defense to be on their best night.  The England vs Chile match will be played conservatively by both teams, but the home side will come out with a 2-1 victory.

England vs Chile TV Schedule
