Belize lost its first match against the USA 6-1, where they were easily outmatched. To their credit, the Belize players played with heart and grit. Furthermore, it is being reported that several Belize players refused to take a bribe to throw the game against the USA. Refusing what could have been a sizable amount of money (most are semi-professional players), the Belize players have shown they are proud to play for their country, and won’t throw away that opportunity for anything

They are facing a semi-professional team that, although play with pride and love for their country, simply don’t have the talent to come up with a miracle victory. Costa Rica will dominate the match and easily come out with the win.
