Atlas were extremely lucky, and were able to defeat defending Liga MX champions, Xolos, 1-0 at the Estadio Jalisco. Xolos kept control of the ball for most of the match, and missed 4-5 very clear goal-scoring opportunities. In the end, Atlas held their own and continue surprising the league, currently sitting in 2nd place. After 50+ years of waiting, will Atlas finally win a championship? With luck like today, they just might.
