Pumas will host Celaya for their match in Copa MX at Estadio Olimpico Universitario on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 7:00pm PST
Pumas, looking for continuity
After the match versus Cruz Azul, Pumas left a good impression among their followers, being that the game though ending in a draw, was the best game so far that the team has played, with the dynamic required by Cortez and Fuentes playing on the sides and Cabrera being the support in the middle. Torres Servin seems to have found the base players for a team that might just make it to the post season if they continue playing like they did on Saturday.
Against Celaya it will be a game to find the solidification and action for those players that have not seen minutes. Luis Garcia, Robin Ramirez and Jimmy Lozano should have time to play, although it does not seem likely to happen. Pumas will possibly use the same line up used against Merida when they got their first 3 points by scoring 5 goals.
Celaya, looking for the first win
Celaya did not have an easy start in Copa MX after being beaten by Puebla twice. Celaya is also not having a great time either in Ascenso MX which might be of influence towards their game against Pumas. Coming from a weekend with no activity Celaya will have a tough time facing Pumas who seem to be from less to more at every game.
Celaya will look to stop the offensive of their opponent and will probably use a defensive tactic and then use long passes in order to bypass the middle field where they could have problems.
Pumas vs Celaya Prediction: If Pumas keeps on track as they seem to be doing they should have no problem beating Celaya, perhaps they can play more relaxed, but a score with a win over 2 goals is needed for them in order to gain more confidence. Celaya will play defensive in order to not lose, this might tighten the game at both ends. A score of 3 – 0 in favor of Pumas seems like the most likely scenario.
