The club Chivas of Guadalajara ended the Apertura 2012 season in negative terms: poor quality soccer, poor results, and angry fans. Since then, there have been various attempts at improving the club like firing the Johann Cruyff project, attempting to sign player Angel Reyna, and firing long-term field doctor Narciso Lopez. However, fans want a real change on the field and this can only be obtained with adding talented players to the institution.
Omar Arellano was transferedto Monterrey in a trade that was supposed to include talented attacker Angel Reyna. After this failed, Arellano remained with the ´rayados´and right defensive winger Sergio Perez was added to the trade.
´Cherokee´Perez is a good player with some speed that lost his starting position to Severo Meza. With Chivas he will fight for the starting role against Omar Esparza. This is a good move for Chivas because they add good talent and experience to a backline that seemed to get younger season after season.
